ME Design was designed to take advantage of and utilize multiple CPU’s for running analyses. As such, the higher the performance of the client machine the faster ME Design will complete its analyses. Hardware recommendations for ME Design are 2GB RAM and 1.9GHz processor clock speed. However, it is strongly recommended to use a computer with minimum 4 GB RAM and 10 GB free hard drive space for multiple project runs such as batch, sensitivity, and thickness optimization. While ME Design itself only requires ~400 MB of hard disk space, ME Design projects after an analysis are usually around 5-10MB each. Please remember to take this into account when deciding on disk space requirements. A screen resolution of 1024 × 768 or higher is also recommended.

Pavement ME Design requires minimal storage capabilities, varying with the number of users saving data. While ME Design itself only requires ~400 MB of hard disk space, ME Design projects after an analysis are usually around 5-10MB each. Please remember to take this into account when deciding on disk space requirements. A user with a minimum 80GB hard drive should have no issue with space related to ME Design.
